The groom that Emily is intended for and the fact that the two brothers intend to share her in a hovel is just the icing on the cake. Travis needs someone to bring him down a peg or two and she’s definitely up for this job.Īs they travel through the wild west and meet various characters right out of a story book, falling more in love with each other, it’s adorable. She reminds me a little of Mary Poppins when Travis first sights her with her black dress, umbrella, and white glove and she only gets better every time she opens her mouth to deliver a witticism. While it might be true that I enjoyed the story, not being able to recall a lot of the original story, but it still took away from my enjoyment to know that the publisher did not disclose it as a re-release.Įmily Finnegan is an absolutely adorable character.
